With the start of the new year 2021, I took over the chairmanship of the working group 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (formerly “Product Lifecycle Management”) in the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).

This Working Group of Manufacturers & Suppliers in the automotive industry has been in existence for a number of years and has the Goal of

• Efficiently and Digitally designing the Exchange and
• Cooperation of Engineering Data in the various system landscapes of the Automotive and Supplier Industries on
• the basis of Standard Data Formats.

The Focus is on topics such as

• Digital Twin,
• Software and E/E Data Exchange, as well as
• Simulation and Systems Engineering topics (as illustrated).

I am looking forward to two exciting years in which we will make a significant contribution to the 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 together as a network.
