Yesterday I was invited to the webinar AI Driven Requirements Engineering by Arorian Technologies.

Thank you Manan Arora for the invitation and the motivating conversation.

In the interview, I was able to present my experiences and best practices of AI in Development Process and specifically in the domain of Systems Engineering using the example of requirements engineering.

The focus was on Increasing Efficiency along the dimensions of Time, Costs and Quality.

• The value is created in relevant Use Cases both from the perspective of an OEM and from the perspective of a supplier with external and internal requirements.
• The focus is on the Traceability of the various artifacts along use case categories such as verification & validation, test case derivation, homologation, quality improvement of requirements and tests or an ALM data migration.
• In addition to the Measurable Benefits of AI in the prioritized use cases, the fields of action are: Influencing Hard Factors such as processes, methods, AI technology & tools as well as the equally important Soft Factors of culture, team, cooperation and mindset.

When asked about the Ideal Start, my short answer was:

• Start now after awareness training and
• Start small with prioritized Lighthouse Initiatives,
• with a distributed team with good process knowledge and AI know-how,
• organized in the onion model with core AI team in the center,
• regular reporting in the community about success stories, clear responsibility and especially Digital Courage
