AI Data Speed

Data & AI Driven Digital Engineering

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to present my experiences at the Altium® event at BMWWelt in Munich with my Keynote speech
“Data and AI Driven Digital Engineering – Value Generation and Best Practice.”
The conference’s theme was “The Future of Electronics Development in Automotive.

My contribution focused on Accelerating the Hardware and Software Development Process, cost savings – particularly through the Extensive Elimination of Early Hardware Prototypes, increasing maturity while Adhering to SOP Deadlines, and a stringent Customer Experience-Oriented Innovation focus.

Part of a Value-Driven Digital Transformation with Measurable Targets includes technologies such as end-to-end digital twins, cross-domain digital prototypes, (model-based) systems engineering, autonomous driving, and a stringent focus on software-defined vehicles.
On the other hand, a digital culture and organization, digital collaboration and leadership, and in particular, a Digital Mindset are crucial for success.

Data-driven processes and workflows and Data Homework such as availability, access, quality, and team performance are the basis for effective AI implementation.
AI Assistants are already supporting the next level of efficiency in >20 use case categories along the V-model with measurable value in prioritized use cases.
The consistent use of AI domain agents, the development of multi-domain agents with subsequent AI harmonization and AI Governance must now follow.

In the interview with Tetyana Ulyanova, I was able to emphasize the importance of Speed-Speed-Speed, the Radical Simplification and Reduction of Variants, and the unconditional Shift Left toward virtual engineering & validation with the necessary Digital Courage.

I was thrilled by the fruitful discussion and networking.
Thank you for the invitation and your insights Marc Boonen, Markus Bochynek, Carsten Kindler, and for the excellent organization of the conference.

The other keynotes by Georg Doll, Joachim Langenwalter, and Will Marsden were also very enriching for me.
